To add on top of the already depressing economy of Michigan, the Ann Arbor News saw it’s last days of print last week. For those unfamilar, the paper has been around for 174 years, so you can imagine how big of a loss this is. The news building is up for sale, more than half of the staff is without jobs; most with families. It’s just awful. Although I was only in town for half the day I tried to do as best I could covering the final farewell. I headed down to the printing facility where the delivery trucks made their pickups and met up with a delivery woman, Kathee Atkins that works for the Washtenaw News Company.
